A few things, namely an aftermarket computer being the big one that stands out.

that thing is so fuckin sick!
|
You will also need an intake manifold.

and nothinguntil I hate to say it but unless you have a pretty heavily ported motor you'd probably be better of with the stock manifold/TB setup.
|
I was thinking if I could get this new thottle body set up I think it would also be a lot easyer to turbo my car too.
|
dude you cant turbo a 6 port enigne. you would be better of just going to the junk yard buying a t ii and part it for your n/a.

Importedrx7 what the hell are you talking about!!!
trust me you can put a turbo on just about anything. I think if for some strange reason I was to take your advice I wouldn't just part out a tII I would just buy one. |
Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I've been looking for something like that.
|
there have been quite a few people that have SUSCESSFULLY turbo'd a 6 port. It took a lot of time, money and pretty much a rebuilt engine. If you look at doing it with an older engine, you had better be ready to blow it.
As far as the IDA goes, they are nice and work well (from what I hear) but you do need a few extra parts as well... |

If you look at doing it with an older engine, you had better be ready to blow it. Mine took alot of time (a month) only because i'm slack, hehe. As for money, cost about $500 australia ALL UP. I dont call that alot of money. :) The only reason my motor blew was basically because I got complacent with systems I shouldn't have... The motor was in pretty good shape when I tore it down, there is nothing inherantly 'weak' about 6-port engines. Sorry, I just HAD to add that. My new engine is going to have a dual TB setup somewhat like this, but not as pretty :D |

http://www.tweakit.net/shop/product_...roducts_id=107 will these intake manifold comparable for stock turbo? will the turbo hit thses thing? any one? |
if you were using those throttle bodies on a turbo car how would you connect the piping from the intercooler to them
|
clearance im not sure about but there is also no coolent passage in that manifold so you would need to rerout your coolents lines to the turbo. But that would mostly likly be the easiest problem ot solve if you realy want to use that manifold and those ITBs
|
so...is AU money more or less than the standard us dollar?

^ They make a plenum for it. Search on tweakit.net

There are a couple of options, one of them is a custom made spacer between the turbo manifold and the enigne, or between the turbo and its manifold (or both). May I suggest a holley style intake instead of the ITB? |
Won't work, unless you somehow modify the stock TPS to fit on those ITB, and then you got the air flow meter issue... The throttle sensor that comes with the ITB should still work just fine. As long as you have one that will read full range you should still be able to adjust at certain ranges vs RPM. |

The Holley style intake can take a Holley style throttle body for EFI.
