my 86 base model N/A gets driven hard, every day. I get about 15-16 mpg in city (cuz I drive it hard) but about 21 highway. You just gotta know how to maintence it correctly, if you do that consistently, the car will treat you well :bigthumb:

I drive my 87 SE about 85 miles a day, and it rarely gives me trouble anymore.

Maintenance, Maintenance, Maintenance... oil changes every 3K, other fluids flushed and renewed every 6 months, filters changed every 6 months and new plugs every 10K miles.

Been maintaining mine that way for the last two years and I'm at 201,000+ on the original motor and still going. Guess I must be doing something right! :)
