Dried up epoxy

there's some dried up epoxy glue where I tried to stick on the trims for my car. I was scrapin them off today and I accidentally chiseled away paint (the paint wasnt the best job done). Any suggestions to take off the sticky crap without damaging the paint?

I don't think you're going to find an easy way to dissolve the epoxy without taking the paint with it. Either sand down the area and primer it, since it will be hidden under trim, or apply the new glue over top and ignore the old stuff.

No.

If we're talking real epoxy, the only thing that will effectively remove real epoxy is HEAT.
Heat will also kill your paint. :(

If you are VERY careful, you MAY be able to scrape it off with a razor blade. Dull the blade slightly to create a slight "ridge" on one side of the blade. Then scrape using that ridge. If you damage the clear slightly it can be polished out.

Body shops sometimes use this technique to get rid of sags in the clear, though I have never tried it myself.
