Drain oil with no tools.
 

I just saw this new type drain plug at Wal-Mart. It's a brass plug with a check valve inside. There is a separate fitting with a drain hose that screws on and unseats the check. There is also an o-ring sealed dust cap. It is from Fram & costs $13. I have heard their filters are nothing special, but the drain valve looks good. Has anyone tried it?

Sounds interesting! I'm curious why they never put a magnet on the drain plug to catch all of those lil metal particals? Since you take it off so often, it would be easy to just wipe off all of the debris and maybe help out you motor a bit.

A good clean oil filter will keep out all debris. The main reason for a drain plug magnet is to tell you you're eating time chain/ sprockets/ camshaft/ piston rings/ etc. (rotaries rule)

Hey yeah...I think I know what youre talking about. I heard about them a while ago but it wasnt from Fram. I *think* TTT was using something like that on his car. Well...whoever was using it, they loved it. :D
