door switch and interior lights
Posted this once before and tried all and every suggestion without result - my interior lights, door open warning light and key in lock donger are all going while I drive.
To this point I have checked both door switches, all the wiring I can get at without tearing the car apart and have tried two replacement cpu's without result. If I unplug the cpu the symptoms quit, but so does everything else on the car! this is a live circuit with the ground being completed by the door switches when a door is opened. Seems simple enough, but I am damned If I can find the short that is leaving the circuit constantly completed. Starting to think maybe a faulty steering column switch on the ignition? Any help will be appreciated before I take the door open bulb out of the clock cluster and rip the 'key-in-lock' donger out of the dash. Ian |
do the door/interior lights work normal (off when door closed-on when open) with the CPU unplugged?
