Door panels and speakers.

Ok, so we all know that most of our cars come with the power window doors, with the spot for the speaker, and the map holder. But, there are some cars that have roll up windows, and no front speakers at all, like the one I'm getting.

So, if I want to add door speakers, what do I do? I know that I saw some people put the speakers in the area between the door arm rest, and the upper edge, but I want to put it down by the floor area. Is the hole for the speaker always there, and will it work if I just cut the upholsery and dropped a speaker in there, with a cover over it? I can wire it fine, but I'm worried about it staying in place, etc.

The S4 spot is above the arm rest, the S5 spot is below the crank. There is already a hole/panel above the arm rest.

You can put speakers in the S5 spot even if you have a s4, but you need to have either a late 88 model with the speaker hole already there or cut an aluminum panel to level the metal off under the door panel, and then mount the speaker or use S5 doors.

Well, if it does not have the hole, I guess I'm going to go with the door handle location. Thank you Icemark.
