K&N makes a washable, drop in replacement for the second gen. 7s. If I remember correctly it has better flow numbers (though probably not a huge difference.)Its the last air filter you will ever buy. |

its just a air filter, it not like the fram are filters will rip up and get sucked into his motor like the fram oil filters.

fram is junk all the way around.. the other filter could hvae been a red element filter we sell those filters in red.. and it really did not look to bad what u should do is turn it around and pull the paper back and see how much is in the cracks.. if u can see through it while pulled back then uit was still good.. or atleast decent

Actually, I've seen it happen with the air filters... The pleating came apart and a chunk got stuck in the TB. Luckily, it got stuck in the TB. Would have been a pain to pull off the UIM/LIM to get it out.. or having it get sucked into your engine and blowing it...
And yeah, the 65 bucks is for a lifetime filter. You can definately get it cheaper online, though. I was looking at getting one for my MX-3, and it was 65 bucks AFTER a 25% discount at Advance Auto. The one for my wife's Mazda 6 was only about 25 or 30 bucks after the 25% discount. |
crazy, how is fram still in business?
|
^ Their false advertising.
If they lied about that, I wonder what else the lied about or did not tell you. |
