Does standalone ECUs keep the acv and VDI actuation?

Do they?

Not ACV, but you can get the VDi switched...

ECUs like the Haltech have configurable outputs that can be used to activate things like aux ports, VDI, etc. Just about anything can be switched by rpm, temp, manifold pressure, etc. So for the VDI, the original solenoid would just be controlled by the Haltech instead of the stock ECU.
The emissions problem depends on how strict the test is where you are. You might get away with just a cat and a well-tuned Haltech.

The VDI is actuated by a solenoid that switches vacuum passages.&nbsp The Haltech has a configurable output which is used for VTEC, intake switching, etc. for which the VDI qualifies.&nbsp This output can be switches on/off at any RPM you want.
