Does my record suck???
 

Well I finished cleaning my ports and got the motor together again yesterday morning. The good news didnt last long as I just got a speeding ticket 20 minutes ago. FUCKING SUCKS!!!:mad: The guy next to me in the Jetta was cutting in and out of car pool and going the same speed but the cop I guess "didnt see it" and pulled me over. I still have traffic school as an option but I wanted to save it for something good not some lame crap like this. I feel so lame for getting a ticket, like I havent changed at all from HS or learned any lessons from my previous ones. In three and a half years ive gotten three tickets, does my record really suck or what??:bash: :doh: :cursing:

I don't know...I've had my license since November of '00 and I've gotten two tickets. I think my record sucks, but I'm mainly just pissed at myself because both were for such simple, stupid things I should have paid more attention to.

I didn't start getting tickets untill I started driving the RX-7. I used to do a lot of dumber stuff with my old car, although I do drive faster in the seven which some will argue is dumb in itself. I have gotten two tickets in 5 monthes and it sucks, at this rate I dunno what I'll do when I upgrade the turbo...but I figure its the price I pay, everytime I got a ticket i WAS breaking the law...just got caught, and it is I that is bitter...go figure.

When I was 16 I got in two accidents, one of them got me a reckless driving tag. I also got neglegent driving, and 2 other speeding tickets. Right now my insurance is $130/mo on a probe! I'm 19 now and haven't gotten a citation since I was 16, guess you could say I smartened up a bit. I'm still an agressive driver, but now I know when and where to do it.

Less than 2 weeks after I got my license.

92 in a 65 .. ouch.

Lost for 3 months, got it back March 1st.

Last friday.. Reckless op, squaling tires... ouch

I think things like this and worse have happened to plenty of people. It's just part of what we (as car guys) do :)

For instance, I know a guy who looks a lot like me that lost his license... in three states... all between the ages of 16 and 20... :rolleyes:

I have had my license since Jan. 1999 and in october of that year i was arrested for drag racing. $2000 later that was over. It was suppossed to get 2 points on my license but paper work must of been screwed up causs then never showed up. About a year later i got caught doing a illegal u-turn where it was legal. did find out it was legal till after i went to traffic shcool. Couple months later got stoped speed by a bike cop doing a speed check by house. Got saved on that one by some guy in a SUV speeding by the cop and me on the curb. Cop got on nike and speed off after him. I made the decision to stay there and wait till he came back. Good thing he gave me just a warning. Got lucky.

dude if it was legal and the cop gave you a ticket for it not being legal? i'd freakin sue the shit out of the city! fuck those bastards.

When I got my license about 3 years ago I totalled my car twice that very year. I had an old 86' Accord and some ricer came like a missle and bashed me in the middle of a right turn. Of course I got the blame and he got LET OFF the hook for speeding, overloading his car (6 people in a 2 2door!?), and wreckless driving. Ok car was totalled but got repaired. Couple months later a minivan creams me in an intersection because he ran red... put me in the hospital for a pinch... I didn't get the blame this time... My insurance is still sky high though!

Rough guide to not getting busted speeding is 8 mph over... Anything more then that you'll easily be pulled unless your 'following traffic' (on the 405 in LA and everyones doing 90 you may also do 90).

Speeding tickets suck! but its a law for a reason so speed safely ;) .

Yea it really sucks. Hopefully I can get it down somehow from even an infraction. I need to find a job for this summer, do you guys have any suggestions on any cool places?

I have been driving since '99 and I have never gotten a ticket or even been pulled over

although that little 145 MPH run should have gotten my license suspended, I will never go that fast again anyway, I had my fun already...no more horsin around except on the track.

i got 2 speeding tickets within one weekend coming back from alberta, i live in manitoba in canada.. one was a 160 in a 110 and the other in saskatchewan doing 140 in a 100 which i think i shouldnt of gotten..guess its all bout luck.. before all this my record was clean...no speeding tickents or nothing.. and ya tickets do suck..
so now im sittin here waitn till july to get my licnese back got suspened for 5 months..

Yeah I had a fully loaded nissan maxima for 1 and 1/2 years. Sister took that got a RX-7 and 4 days after I got it I got pulled over and got a ticket for going 11 over. Then got pulled over three more time in the next two weeks. Only got the first ticket though, the other three cops didn't actually get me on a radar they just pulled me over b/c I am a teenager in a sports car and I guess the 7 just looks fast. :D Pisses me off, but at least my record is still clean, at least of tickets (did defensive driving) I hate cops that hate teenagers!!!!
