looks like an aftermarket jdm oxygen sensor...
it should give you a little more power and high rpm tire shredding action...
you might want to put a stock one back on so you dont get pulled over for such an aftermarket illegal racing part.................. since jdm and usdm has different emission standards.... it could be a heavy fine esp if you live in california

Snrub 07-12-05 11:14 PM

It looks similar to an NTK. According to the Victoria British catalog the '84-92 sensors were all the same. I suppose that makes sense, the S4s had a L-Jetronic fuel injection and the S5s had LH-jetronic which was just a variation on L-jectronic.

slpin, why are you giving false advice? The brand of O2 sensor has no effect on high RPM power or any power at all. I don't know what the standards are in CA, but no cop is going to give you a ticket here for using an OEM compatable replacement parts. If you're being sarcastic, I'm sure it's not appreciated.

I have that same "skinny" o2 sensor and if passing smog is your worries, i passed just fine with my s4.

where can you get o2 sensors at do we need a certain one i want to replace my o2 sensor since im redoing my exhaust thought it would be worth changing awhile

Andrew. 07-12-05 11:38 PM

i got one at autozone for like 23 bucks, just ask for a o2 sensor for your year and make

RotaryEvolution 07-12-05 11:56 PM

it actually looks like a generic Bosch sensor..

*shrugs*

ilike2eatricers 07-13-05 12:04 AM

So what's the big deal about it being aftermarket? I've replaced my o2 sensors with borg warner ones from kragen with no problems.

RotaryEvolution 07-13-05 12:16 AM

well they won't last as long but for the price i probably would opt for changing them more often.

hell, the only reason i use one right now anyways is for my A/F meter, i don't even have it hooked up to my ECU and i get 20+MPG and that is mostly rich...

fuck,,, no one understands sarcaism anymore

I wasn't sure. Use at least one of the many emoticons if you're not serious, it's hard to tell. Keep in mind that there are a number of stupid people who will post stuff like that seriously (I've read it before). Regardless, if you can spend the time to post sarcasm you could have thrown the guy a bone afterwards.

BlaCkPlaGUE 07-13-05 02:18 PM

Thats not a bosch, the bosch has a thicker 'tube' or whatever you call it. I doubt it really matters, I think the only difference between brands for stock would probably be longevity.

Hate to steal the thread, but does anyone know if a honda 02 will fit. Found a good deal on widebands to fit hondas- im lookin for sensor only and this one is cheap.

He never uses the emoticons. You can never tell if he's being serious, being sarcastic, or being an @$$! :p:

i've actually gotta agree with slpin, put an aftermarket 02 in my SE, and now i spin the wheels at 5500 any gear.

sleejay 07-14-05 04:43 PM

aftermarket just means its made by a different manufacturer than the OE part.

who cares? its an O2 sensor.
