Does anyone know were to buy a fuel rail for a 1991 N/A rx7
for a cheap price like a auto parts or something like that thanks

The fuel rail comes with the pulsation damper
so all I've got to do is just buy the Fuel rail
right

No one is wanting my S5 n/a engine, i guess I could part it out. I have the fuel rail.

Is it a good idea to replace the pusation damper
because i don't want a fire and
well better safe than never
my car has 145,000 miles and thats how i bought it
but is there a way to check if the pusation damper is good
like lets say if its not leaking its good and if it starts to leak change it,
is it that simple

I've heard that the whole pulsation dampener problem (catching fire) was only a real threat in the S4. Could be wrong.

Well should i still change the pulsation damper
because i change all my plans for what i saw gonna do
insted i'm gonna get a stock clutch,maybe remove the fuel rail(pulsation damper) still don't know weather to do it or not need more advice, and do the normal good tune-up
Then save up money till i got enough to buy a 13BTT2 and swap the engine it cost 2,145

The S5 puslation dampener is built into the rail. Don't have to worry like you do on an S4 about leakage and your car going boom.

you should perhaps read the post I made just a week or so ago. My brother almost lost his new 91 Vert he got from Las Vegas. Luckily it happened when his engine was cold straight out of the garage.

The pulsation damper DOES leak on S5 contrary to what others believe.
It sprays fuel straight out from the PD.
When it goes there is no warning ! If it happens when the engine is hot, you lose your car.

Do a search and my very long post will explain it all clearly.
If you have a good appraisal on your car for big bucks and your insurnce is willing to pay you big bucks then don't worry about it.

Otherwise my advice is spend the 200 bucks and the 4 hours labour and replace the PD.
At the same time do a bunch of other things like replace vacuum hoses and fuel lines etc.
The dealer actually sold it for less than Mazdatrix.

It would be interesting to run a poll and get some statistics on just how many S4 and S5 have had this problem.

I am working on formal letters to both the Canadian and US government agencies to have this problem reviewed and ask for a mandatory recall for the defective design.

Please do not suggest that everyone carry a fire extinguisher. I am not a Fireman and by the time the fire shows upunder your hood the damage is already way past 3K.

Common guys. Just last week someone posted on how there S5 rail leaked when the PD failed.

Its been my experience that S5 and S6 fuel rails (both of which use the same lame ass built into the fuel rail design), leak more than than the S4 ones.

Plase do not post such garbage as the S5 rails are safe. Too many people believe that crap and will have their cars burnt.

The PDs are problems on the 2nd and 3rd gens... Do the banjo bolt mod (if you are boosted you must either replace it with either a new factory one or aftermarket.)

That is good to know, last thing you want is to lose your car to a fire, i'll have to look up that thread.
