DOES anyone actually CURRENTLY sell N/A CF hoodS????

N/a CF hoods anyone sell them now??

andrew lohaus 07-25-05 07:44 PM

not that i know off. an aluminum hood off a vert or s4 is your best bet for weight reduction.

Camrann 07-25-05 07:52 PM

I want the look though.

Let me check Corksport, they have nearly anything you would want there!

Buy a lot of fake CF stickers like the rest of the ricers.

spend the money on an alum hood and buy yourself another upgrade with the money left over.

Agent_D 07-26-05 12:38 AM

wtf, why did fc3s.org quit makin the n/a cf hoods??

locketine 07-26-05 12:56 AM

You want the look eh? get an aluminum hood and have it carbon fibre wrapped, prolly the same price. But seriously, most carbon fibre hoods look like crap on cars. Get the aluminum TII hood and u'll look a lot faster and have a slightly cooler engine over a cf hood.

Hey CAMRANN you should probably email Dave at fc3s.org any way I know they had them for sell not to long ago and probably still have some, They make about the best carbon fiber products as you can get so it is worth a try if you are serious

I dont like the idea of any body panel being aluminum, when it dents, and it will, it doesn't retain the same amount of "memory" that steel does, CF well, Cf cracks but it taeks a bit more than hail or rocks to crack it (depending on size blah blah blah) i like CF hoods, but to me CF only compliments black cars, so painted fiberglass would tickle my fancy

gingenhagen 07-26-05 04:38 AM

i dunno...those CF hoods maintaing perfect shape after being run over by trucks seemed pretty impressive to me. I wouldn't mind getting one of those someday.

Mura 07-26-05 05:31 AM

I wouldn't mind having a CF hood for mine. My car is close to being black, Midnight blue, but it somewhat looks like black when you're not close to it.

HOW MUCH ARE YOU WILLING TO PAY???

Most of these hoods are like around the $500 range.
Are you willing to pay that kinda money?

A lot of people ASK for products like that, but when it comes time to cough up the cash, VERY few do...
