Do I need a new hood if I go fmic? Fmic questions.

I have a S4 tii. Going with a megasquirt and I just figured why not go with a fmic, want to boost a little higher and have cooler temps. What kits do you guys recommend? Just go eBay or Cxracing? Other options? Going to be running around 12psi, so not crazy. If I go fmic do I need a new hood to vent out heat? Or does a stock tii hood work well?

Also how would this affect my temps, would a stock rad with a Taurus fan keep the car cool? Does an intercooler interfere with the oil cooler

you could, but it doesn't matter much. i'm just running a flat aluminum hood and i'm seeing intake temps that are in the high 30's on a 30c day

so far so good with mine ive been a little surprised actually. we had a heat wave the last ~10 days or so, and i was driving around in 30c ambient temps and the highest water temp i saw was 95c, which was after a hot start, when its moving temps don't go higher than the fan turn on temp, which is 93c.

it can you want a core that either passes a lot of air through, or one that either had a duct or doesn't cover the cooler. the old JDM intercoolers can block the oil cooler
