Do I need to get a new gasket for......
 

Do I need to get a new gasket for the lower intake manifold. Or can I just make one out of gasket material. i.e. the paper gasket material nte RTV silicone. Or can I just use the old one and it work when I put it all back together? I need to know quick so I can make one before I put it all back together. :)

i bought one from mazda for 8 dollars, it looks pretty thick and almost plasticy, i haven't done my intake yet so i don't know for sure, but for 8 bucks, i would get the gasket

to block, sorry for the vaugness.

You are taking too many chances making your own gasket. Get the OEM and give it a LIGHT coat of HYLOMAR to fill any voids. Your time is worth more than making a gasket and having to redo it again because it wasnt quite right.

.. or using an old one and having it leak...

Spend the $25 and get the metal one!!! If you need to take it all apart again, (vacuum leaks, etc.) you won't need to scrape and the metal one can be reused.

I think I'm gonna do that RotorHusker. Until I receive it I am going with heavy duty material from an engine rebuild place here. Its the same thickness as the origional gasket and is the same kind of material, its just that you can cut or molde it to whatever you need. Thanks for the input guys. Again the one I made is only a temp until I can get a new one.
