Do I have high oil presure or something?

I got my GXL running and I noticed that at 1000rpm the presure was near or at 60. Is this high or normal? I didn't notice it was that high on the GTU when I had it running.

"The normal oil pressure in a stock Mazda rotary is approximately 71 psi above 3,000 RPM, (110 psi above 3,000 RPM in the 1993-95 RX-7) and should never drop below 15 psi at idle (use a 0 to 125 psi gauge)."

So I'm not running high?

So I'm not running high?
That is what he said.

I seem to always run just under 60psi except at idle 15-30. It NEVER breaks 60psi. What is wrong with my oil pressure? Could it just be the gauge? Motor is less than 5000 mi

From ReTed's Site:

"The stock (rear) oil pressure regulator is designed to bypass at 60-65psi of oil pressure."

O.K. which one is it? Racing beat says normal pressure is 71 psi, but the stock FC pressure regulator bypasses at 60-65.

Hm.

Edit: I run 58-60 at 3,000 rpm and about 25-30 at idle. Been doing that for as long as I can remember. I asked ReTed about it and he told me that's normal.

71 PSI sounds just about right .. the regulator regulates it in the 60 range .. but its not perfect I little more than that creeps by. My N/A runs at right around 70 on the gauge at normal freeway driving 80-85 MPH 3500 ish RPM's
