diffrences between s4 and s5 turbochargers

ok guys i need to know all the physical and mechanical differences betwwen the s4 and s5 turbo's. what systems are diffrent? what can i take off the car(s4) when putting on a s5 turbo? what do i need to add if anything? also i bought a s5 turbo from a guy and it only has 1 dp thread on the the hotside, can i take the old ones off my s4 turbo and put them on my s5 turbo? any help is greatly appreciated.

just the hot side is different on the s5 for the bigger wastegate.

You can ditch the twin-scroll system. Don't forget to cap the vac nipple. You'll need the S4 oil drain pipe.

The hot side is the only difference between the two. The S5 has a slightly different a/r as well as a much more efficient design plus the WG is much larger.

And yeah, you can use the studs. The outlet is identical between the two.

how the hell to i get the studs out? on the s5 turbo the inside is a light cream color while the s4 is just rust colored whats the deal?

I'm assuming you've tried the jamming two nuts together trick? Is it soaking in PB Blaster?

i heard the S5 turbo hotside had 2 internal wastegates??

i believe that is correct, they open at diffrent times is what i heard ( correct me if i'm wrong)

lol

the s5 turbo has one wastegate. the flapper plugs two holes instead of the ONE on the s4 (so it can push out more excess boost) hense the no boost creep with s5's. Bleeding Boost also plays a part in the no boost creep of the s5 turbos.

yeah i tried jamming two nuts together but that didn't work

the turbo mannifold is also different on a S5 than a S4. It wil bolt up with no problems its just that on the S5 the runneres are equal size.
