i think short block is just the engine core not any of the accessories.. and long block it what the whole engine together is... manafolds and in the car and everythien shit like that... :)

isn't a shortblock: less sump, less manifolds, less front cover, less water pump, water pump housing etc etc etc
while a long block is just less manifolds?
a complete engine is exactly that - a complete engine

short block is just the block for the most part assembled, no manifolds, turbo, accessories etc..
