difference between RHD to LHD parts?
im ordering a front clip and i wanted to know if there is any difference bwteen these parts:
-steering culumn -pedal assembly -brake booster and master cylinder -clutch master cylinder i know that the steering rack and dash are obviously different. but what about the others. im converting my car to RHD and if these four things are the same as the RHD counterparts. i could get started before the clip gets here, so most of everything will be ready to go... im guessing they would be the same though. anyone know if this is true? |
You need to install the steering column mount from the clip before you install the steering column.
Wait are you not swapping the front, engine, and dash harnesses from the clip because i think you have to to have everything work right I don't know if the jdm harnesses will pug into those usdm parts. Especially if both the clip and shell are of different series. |
damn it, they canceled my order on my front clip! you know of a company who will ship it to residential? how did you get yours to your house? or did you do it at a shop?
|
just shipp it to a dock or something them pick it up with a truck or a friends shop you know
|
Exactly what francogt said.
Mine was shipped to my dads shop and the shop next to us had a dock. The clip was boxed up the size of an entire car. And from the dock to the shop I managed to transport it using a forklift. |
well, not everyone knows someone with a shop or a truck to pick up a front clip. but theres another option. they removed the engine and tranny from the clip and are sending that first. then i will recieve the clip a day or two after the motor swap arrives. this cuts the weight down and a fork lift is not needed. so now it is coming directly to my house.
i ordered it from tigerautoparts.com, they were very helpful and have great pricing. i reccomend them. |
I ordered mine though ebay. It was shipped FedEx
|
i think i might just swap the complete front sub frame, its only a few bolt and makes the steering rack an easier more correct fit.
