Difference between ATF and TF
 

Is there a difference or are they the same thing and if so will TF work?

Some one please help!!! I don't want to mess up my motor is anything is wrong with At or is it any different?

I dont know what TF is, i assume transmission fluid...

But ATF is hydrolyic fluid.

Manual transmission fluid is Oil.

I don tknow how your are discerning the two, but it its for use in an automatic, its ATF.

It just says transmission fluid

They are both oils of different weights, but the ATF has special detergents in it to keep all the little bits inside an auto trans clean. These are what actually does the cleaning/decarboning in the ATF trick. So no, manual trans fluid will not work.

what are you using it for that should be the first question...are you putting it in your tranny, or using it to start a "dead"motor, or reconditioning the apex seals...there is a BIG difference in AFT and TF, and sniper is right, AFT is hydrolyic fluid used for automatic transmissions and getting your rotary to start if its been sitting(or whatever you want to use it for; hardstarts, carbon build-up, condition the apex seals) and in a NORMAL(im using my 5speed as an example) you use motor oil as the "transmission fluid".
