Did I Fry My Computer?

I disconnected the battery while I was replacing the fuel pulsation damper, fuel lines, vacuum lines, oil lines, etc.

I forgot that I had turned the ignition on, so when I started to reconnect the battery i got some sparking. Would this have possibly fried the computer?

When I tried to start the car, it cranked but would not fire.

I would appreciate any and all thoughts on this other than, of course, how dumb I was.

i highly doubt if fried your computer, just check your main fuses under the hood. that'll be the first thing to go. check those first.

actually...check the fuse panal under the dash first... mainly the engine fuse..it will usually be the one to go when there is a sudden jolt of electricity....happened to me while installing my turbo timer (friend hooked up power and ground backwards).. but check all of them just to make sure everything is kosher.....

That Same Blue(15)fuse Was Popping In Mine Last Month Due To A Short Out In The Engine Bay. It Took Us 2 Hours And A Few Fuses Later To Put A (30) Fuse In It And Right Away We Saw Where It Was Due To All The Electricity Jumping. I'm Not Suggesting That Anybody Do That If You Have Any Good Electronics Hooked Up To Your Car. We Just Got Lucky.

ohm meters are a great tool to use!

Any more suggestions?

did you disconnect your fuel pump before starting, and forget to reconnect it? (I did that once)

Fuel Pump Working

There is no spark from the trailing plug on the front rotor.

Also, for what it's worth, the interior security light is not functioning.

Ant more ideas??
