Damn the auto to manual swap need help!!!

Hey guys im just gettin to the final parts of my s5 13brew build and I just put the trans in and noticed tht the rear trans mount is a whole 4 inchs forward!!! I guess this is due to the mounting points being different between the auto and manual. So my question isssss can anyone point me in the right direction on where I can get a conversion bracket or somethin any info would be good thanks guys

Either relocate the mounting points or make a bracket http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2n...to_5speed.html

IIRC there are a couple of writeups in the 2nd archive as well.

I did the same thing from the RR site. Helped a lot. Hardest part is finding the steel

Look at V8killa's writeup, it's got a MUCH MUCH better solution than RR's for the manual swap.

Basically, you take two pieces of angle iron and drill 4 holes in each, use an auto crossmember on an S5 trans and you are done. ^_^

Nice do u have the link to v8killa's writeup possibly

vrracing 06-19-12 07:36 PM

It's in the 2nd Gen Archive.

Err.. Don't have the link on hand... Also search for auto swap under my username, there's a bunch I've written out a few times :) [My way is easier than v8killa's but it's based on his idea, also I think he has the wiring for S5 swaps whereas mine is for S4 - mechanically the swapping is identical if you use an S5 transmission]

Dizzzzzam good shizzz searching now
