kevin wanted 1,700 for a swap.

Turbo Timmy 10-31-03 06:40 PM

I think that's a great deal if they include all parts inc. tranny and new hardware like clutch...

Mephis 10-31-03 07:18 PM

they do. he said sence i asked nicely he would throw in a ATC street strip clutch, but he said i must buy the flywheel??? that dont make any sence. but ied need to drive to tenesse and find a hotel for awhile hehe, camping for a tranny swap lmao only a rotary owner.

RX7withNitrous 10-31-03 07:31 PM

haha got mine for 1,000 parts labor and a new clutch :)

Turblown 10-31-03 08:01 PM

I sold my n/a drivetrain; swapped in a t2 drivetrain, and made enough on the selling to get competition motor/tranny/diff mounts :D

walken 10-31-03 08:37 PM

1200 sounds about right, I'm going to do this myself and 800 is what I will be spending on the lightweight flywheel/clutch setup.

jreynish 10-31-03 10:21 PM

yes it is accually quite a bit of work we did it on my freinds comaro and that was work enough, I would assume that the same amount of work blood and sweat would be involved! so I would have to say that is a fair price!

First off, it's spelled s-e-n-s-e.

Secondly, do you know how power from the engine is applied via a clutch? Perhaps "rookspeed high performance" should look into learning how a clutch and flywheel go together.

:)

IF you're referring to me , you're full of shit. I usually quote $400 for labor and $400 for parts.

Perhaps you're getting that number confused with rebuild installation, or something. For $1700, you can get a nonturbo motor rebuilt and installed all day long with me...

IF you're referring to someone else, my apologies in advance. IF nothing else, it was a good way to get my prices in the thread :D

No. Within the context, I think he meant to say, "S-I-N-C-E."

I wish Rotary Resurrection was in CA.

Actually I just realised he spelled it wrong twice.

SINCE I asked nicely, it doesn't make SENSE.

Zero Cylinder 11-01-03 11:13 PM

realized.
