Cut/Cheesgraded airbox?

I was considering molesting my airbox like this if it would be beneficial. Do you think this would suck in hot air or should it be fine as long as the snorkel is in place?

I don't know if that engine is ugly or not. And sorry, I don't know the answer to that question. I would assume everyone is gonna say bad. And it does seem like it would pull in more hot air then you think. But I'll let some experts answer that.

someone attacked your engine with blue paint, thats not good.
anyways, really, i dont see any benifit to it unless you have some kind of true cold air intake, such as that vented headlight cover or some form of piping. but to the top, i dont see any benifit. maybe the bottom?
dunno

peace

I'd fab up a custom cold air with a cone filter if you wanna feel any difference

Negates purpose of snorkel. Probably sucks in hot air. If it was useful, the stock box would look like that.
