Custom driveshaft length

Can anyone tell me the dimensions of a custom driveshaft for an S4 TII trans to N/A diff

length of the shaft itself
and overall length please

If you want a quick fix you can use a drivshaft from an automatic FC or you can dremil the holes just a little on your NA driveshaft...no need for custom work.

Do not use an auto driveshaft. It is over 2 inches too short, and risky to use.

The driveshaft lengths are in the FSM:

But what would the length be for the distance from the TII tranny to the N/A GXL LSD

Maybe I got lucky, using one before my LSD swap! LOL

Look at L1 in the picture I posted. The distance is the same regardless of transmission (except auto) or rear end.

so if i get one made (assuming my N/A shaft wont work) just tell them the L1 length and tell them TII tranny end, S4 GXL diff end?

If you're going to have someone make one, take an auto driveshaft and have them add 53mm (2.1 in) into the center section. That way you'll have the turbo/auto yoke on the transmission end, the NA diff flange on the other end, and it will be the correct length.
