cruise control cable

doing a s5 t2 swap into 88 gxl. I have cruise control and I'm wondering if my switch and cruise control throttle cable will work with the new motor. i haven't been able to find anything about it.

You will need at a minimum to replace the cruise control actuator in the engine bay. NA cars used a vacuum type system. The TII uses and electric system. The cable for an NA unit is "built-in" whereas, the TII unit features a removable cable. I don't recall if they have the same plug, but if they do, that is all that should be required.

You can use the TII system in a NA.

However, you may need to use the same cruse computer & actuator (NA/TII). I tried using a NA actuator with a TII cruise computer, and it didn't work - it kept trying to accelerate even once it reached the set speed. I don't know if they're incompatible, or if the NA actuator I got was bad, but putting the TII actuator in fixed it.

The series five SWITCH going into a series four will give you fits. A series five switch can be made to work because I drove like that for a few YEARS. You have to rearragne the wires at the SWITCH plug and then PERMANENTLY depress the MAIN button. See my cruise control swithces in this post https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...cruise+control

Right now I have a turboii electrical actuator in my series four *originally non turbo - now turbo* car using a n/a computer and n/a switch. Works fine.

It's hard for me to figure out what you want to do. Put a series five turbo actuator in the series four non turbo car? Or?
