cruise control

I want cruise control for my car. Originally it is a s4 n/a. Im doing a engine swap of a s5 t2. Is the cruise control computer built into the ecu? Basically sense the wiring harness for the s5 t2 engine doens't have a connector Radioshack and I are going to wire it ourselves into the cruise control computer. Has anyone attempted a stunt like this before? I also have an s5 cruise control actuator, but there isn't a plug for it on the engine harness. I'm guessing the s5 CC plug was on the s5 body harness.

no i dont think so because the previous owner of my car pulled it, along with the power steering

Well can just unplug the actuator for the cruise control and leave the rest. so is there not a seperate computer that controls the cruise control? anyone have a ecu plug diagram that shows which connections are for the cruise control so I can manually wire them in?

There is a CCU and you can find all the information you WANT to find on the free, online fsm. Search the FAQ thread at the beginning of this site and you will find http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/2nd_gen_manuals.htm

Download the wiring schematics and the ELECTRICAL BODY sections.
