Counterweight Woahs..?
So i have an s5 motor with a twin plate clutch and lightened flywheel.. But the flywheel has a built in counterweight..
The question. Im now putting a s4 engine into my car that i picked up for cheap and want to use this clutch. Can i just swap over the front s5 counterweight along with the lightened s5 flywheel onto the s4? |
No, you need an S4 CW. Swapping over the front CW will not resolve your problem as the Actual Rotor weight is different too..
S4 rotors =10lbs S5 = 9lb |
so i guess im screwed? the flywheel that goes with the clutch has a built in counterweight for a s5...

I would like to add a question to his question. What flywheel do you use if you had S5 housings and S4 rotors. Not wanting to threadjack, but curious about my situation regarding a flywheel
