Corksport questions

I am purchasing an 80mm DP and 80mm MP from Corksport. I know I also need an FCD but my main question is, will the raised boost levels require the usage of further tuning and/or larger injectors? Also, what type of power levels am I looking at here? I am used to tuning and working on FD's so I am looking for some answers here before I start wrenching on my FC.

Bump.

Don't bump your thread, you will anger the moderators :-)

Anyway, to answer your question, if you are going to use an FCD you run the risk of blowing it up if your boost is too high. The injectors can max out and then boom! So you have 2 options to prevent that:

1) Get larger secondaries and some form of management/piggyback to adjust it.

2) Get the Rtek 1.7 (set up for 550 primaries/720 secondaries) and 720cc secondaries and you are safe to 12psi (according to their website). The Rtek is only for S4 which you have guessing off your signature. It has all kinds of good stuff to make it safer for more power.

For direct-fit, no splice, plug right up to your 88 high impedence/square connector offset tab injectors: (same ones I got, came in 3 days!)

Yeah, I don't normally bumb my thread, but when I posted it like 30 people posted on other threads and it was instantly slammed to the bottom.

I'm only planning on 8-9 psi with the dp and mp, or is my estimate WAY off. If I am right, at those levels will my 550's work for a bit?

I love the idea of the R-tek, but I don't want my car down for however long it takes to ship and solder the ECU just yet, I drive it WAY to much. But I may if it will be a quick job to get the R-tek work done.

Basically, will I be ok with the dp, mp, and FCD for a little bit or am I going to be fuel starved?

Thanks.

You should be ok, but I wouldn't turn up the boost much farther than that.

About the Rtek, cheat and get a 2nd ECU to send off and have it chipped (i had a parts car to borrow one from), and you won't have to have it down while you wait. Then once the Rtek'd one arrives, sell your OG ECU, lol.

You'll first off need to port the wastegate.

But at the least I'de look at a fuel pump (FD, Walbro 255, RP Competition, Cosmo, 20B) and make sure the stock injectors are good and in working condition. If you don't boost too much you should be ok. If you find yourself running lean (wideband) buy larger injectors and something to tune it.

You'll be looking at 180-200HP depending on mods.

180 - 200 rwhp I hope right?

Yeah, I need to check my injectors. I was thinking about picking up some 720's from E-bay so I might go ahead with that R-tek idea. Anyone know the stock designation for an 88 TII lol.

Ok, I ordered the CorkSport parts and have decided to bring a little info to the boards. I am going to do a baseline pull on a dyno (stock intake, APEX'i N1 knock offs, full emissions on the car including precat and cat). Then after install I am going to do another pull. (Corksport 80mm DP and MP, FCD) and see what I get. This will all be done on 93 Octane.

Just figured that alot of people are going to want to know how much power you can get from DP and MP.
