Coolant seals Question???
 

If my coolant seals are on their way out is their a way to do smothing to get it to last a few more months??
Any tricks you guys know or anything

Nope. There are things out there that can supposedly stop coolant leaks but I have never heard of one working, or if they do people have said they clog up passages.

Is he right?? Or does someone else know smothing??

The coolant seal doesn't wear out per say, like an apex seal. It's not going to be in a condition where it's "on its way out". It's either there and it's sealing the area between the housings and plates, or it's broken and coolant is leaking past it.

I had a seal break. I used stop leak (designed for sealing radiator leaks) and it stopped the coolant from getting past the seal until I had the time and money to rebuild the motor. Before using it, I couldn't start the car cause too much coolant was in the combustion area. If I shut the car off, I couldn't start it again without pulling the injector plug, cranking the engine to blow the coolant out, the putting the plug back in and starting the engine. After using the stop leak, I could let the car sit for days, and it would start with no problems the next time I turned the key I should have taken a picture of the seal when I took the motor apart to show how this stuff plugged up the hole. Its not meant to be a permanent fix, but I've heard of people saying they used it and it lasted for months into years.
