coolant problem
 

the sensor on my car went off the other day (add coolant). so i put some coolant after i had cooled the engine. but it went off again recently, i have been adding coolant to my car for the past 1 1/2 year now and it was the 1st time that it went off so quickly. so i added coolant again and after i went for a drive that day i noticed that coolant was dripping from under the car. i popped the hood and i found out that the coolant was being shot out through the hose thas connected to a coolant container that's located on the front near the radiator. the coolant level in the container is pass full and i don't now why it is doing it. o yeah when the sensors go off to indicate that you need to add coolant how come the coolant in my conatainer is still full. i add coolant by unscrewing a little plastic screw that's supposed to bleed the air and then i add coolant from where the radiator cap is (dont know what you call it)

ok what you need to do is when your engine is cool you need to take your radiator cap off and then start your car for about 30 seconds. dont worry no fuid will spray out. how to i know this. this is my job i do this every day of the week. what will happen you will see your coolant level drop down. what happens when you start your car it breaks the vacum suction in your line and then put you cap back on and then add coolant to your coolant container and you should be good to. and if you are doing a coolant system flush you would go through the same process

Bad RAD cap or blown coolant seals.

You remove the bleed screw and fill up the lower cap as much as you can. Cap the RAD and now fill from the top cap untill water flows out of the bleed hole. Screw the bleed screw in and finish filling up top coolant line.

First, make sure it's not something simple like a bad rad cap or pinhole in the overflow hose.

If those are not the cause, you may have a compromised o-ring. Do a search for "bubble test" and follow the instructions.

ok im no expert, but from my coolant problems i have had i know a bit. if i were you i would also add bars leak stop leak. cuz what it sounds to me is that you have a pin hole in one of your hoses or possibly a slight leak at a coolant seal. get the bottle that is big and says heavy duty. you can get it at autozone.

so rx7b13 u mean that the way that i hav been adding coolant was wrong. thanks for the help i'n going to try that

no the way your adding it is right it just you have a little bit of suction from when you car get warm and the in cools off and warm up and so on and so forth it just you need to break the suction in you line and then you will be able to put more collant in

Now why would you do this unless you have blown coolant seals? Why not just replace the hoses?

Proper mechanics on the coolant system would be.
1. Check coolant for fuel smell.
2. Replace all coolant hoses, including heater ones under the oil filter and beside the lower RAD hose.
3. Verify new OEM TS is good in boiling water.
4. Replace TS with the OEM one you tested.
5. Replace all RAD caps.
6. Fill and flush properly with water.
7. Coolant compression check.
8. Verifyd compresion is good. If good drain and fill with proper coolant mixture. If not good proceed to flush properly for block weld coolant seal "temp fix" or rebuild motor.
