Coolant leaks, need help!
 

Hi, so I was driving home today and when I was around the corner from my house, I noticed my car started to overheat, it got to like 3/4 of the way up on an S5. I know that's bad but I was already on my street so I came home and parked.

I popped my hood and the hose that goes on top of the throttlebody is squirting water so it's getting replaced tommorow but also under the oil filter, right next to it, there's a leak, I can see a little puddle and I hear the high pressure water coming out.

What can leak next to/around the filter? I really need to fix this tommorow morning. Thanks guys/girls.

Is that the only thing it could be? There's a puddle that forms there right next to the filter. I hope it's not something major... I didn't have time to check it out because it was getting dark and the car was still too hot to touch. Thanks.

could be the 90 degree coolant hose that routes from the rear iron to your TB....pray that it's not that one. hardest hose to get to...

I say the heater hose:)

maybe, do you have any pics, I couldn't find it on the fsm. I hope not though.

you have to pull the throttle body off to get to the 90 deg hose.

I think it's the heater hose...

if the hoses are all old and nasty, you might want to just replace all of them in one go. it will be alot easier if you can get the car up on a lift. good luck!

i have the same problem. after i replaced the heater hose, the heater didn't work.

Thanks guys, I changed the hose on top of the TB and it looks like the heater hose clamps were just loose, I have that drain and flush tee on there. I just tightened the clamps and problem solved. Who knows where that puddle next to the filter came from...
