coolant foams!
 

Hi People,

I recently changed my defective waterpump, and still am not shure if it cured my coolant-seal-symptoms. When I refilled my coolant system, I noticed that the water foams white as soon as the thermostat opens! Is this ok (because its already pretty hot when it opens) or are the little bubbles the exhaust gases? (No foam and bubbles at all while termostat is still closed)

yeah your coolant seals sound like they are going. If you rebuild now it will be better for your pocket. Also mine was so bad that if you took the rad cap off and turned the car over it would shoot out like a water fountain. Mine is being rebuilt at Rotary Reserection.
Since yours has small bubbles you might be able to do a quick fix on it listed on Kevins website. I personally would do a rebuild but some people like to prolong the inevitable. If you rebuild you can street port it, so it has its advantages

I agree with bukwild, its better to rebuild before something bad happens. I think my coolant seals were going for a while before I noticed, and I ended up with a cracked endplate. By the time I got it rebuilt, it was draining a radiator full of fluid in about an hour of driving, although some of that was sprayed around the engine bay. I believe there are ways of checking to see if the seals are bad, such as checking for coolant in the oil, but I don't know any specifics.

Take it to a Rotary shop, see if they say the same thing, if they do, have the engine rebuilt. Also how many miles are on the engine?

Rebuild now. If you do it yourself, be sure to inspect every water passage in the housings.

OK. I just drove to me mechanic to check, if there are exhaust gases in the coolant -> negativ! He thinks the foam is just because of remainings of the block welder I used (tried the RotaryResurrection-Fix 3 months ago). He suggested to wait with a rebuild, because its not obvious necessary...

If you already tried Kevins coolant seal quick fix then you really need to rebuild. That will only hold for so long.
