coolant buzzer on and off
 
I noticed a problem that started a little bit ago.. The coolant buzzer likes to go on and off when I'm parked on uneven ground. Never goes off when the car is leveled.. For example, it won't go off when I start the car in my backyard, but it'll go off when I'm parked on the street, where you kind of got that little dip on neighborhood streets.

The temp gauge has never gone past the middle mark, and goes from cold to warm normally. Sometimes when I'm driving and make right turns or go through a street with a right curve, then it'll go off, but when I pull over, it'll go away. If they ground is leveled.

Also, when I check my coolant, I can't see any in the filler neck, so I mix 50% distilled with 50% coolant until it's topped off, and there's never anything in the overflow tank (it's actually a bit dirty, I'm going to wash it soon). I found out my thermostat housing is leaking a little, could that be what's wrong? I ordered a new plastic one from mazdatrix to get that fixed, but I just want to make sure that there might be something else wrong.

PS; now that I think about it, I have to put almost a full bottle of coolant every time I check to top it off.. Is that normal? (I use a Disani water bottle to mix the distilled water and coolant.

you shouldn't have to Add coolant to the Car,If the Cooling system is "fully operational".You don't have to add any Prestone to Hondas every time you Fill up for gas do you?..NO.see?!.it's not Normal!
anyways.get the Thermostat neck Fixed.Flush out the System.get a new thermostat,Rad cap.
Check the Hose and the Part on the rad that the hose is connected to.To make sure that the Hose is not Cracked and Can flow coolant from the "nipple' Part to the Reservoir without Losing coolant.This IS important,as Coolant Expands and it needs to Transfer to the Overflow Bottle when Hot,and then Back when the Engine cools off and it Needs the Dispersed Coolant Back in the engine again(think of it as a "give and Take system")
If the Cooling system is Leak free and Flows OK,then you don't need to Constantly be Adding Coolant..it should remain at the Same level,For awhile.You should however make it a Habit of Checking ALL fluids,every time you Fill up with gas..If you Do this,your car will thank you with Miles of Fun!

well fix the leak then check the coolant level afterwards and take it from there.

That's for the info.

Though I don't really add it every time I pump gas or anything.

When I put it in, the buzzer goes away for about a day or two, but I figured that if I have to add around almost a water bottles full to top it off, it must be going somewhere right?


While I checked, I also found that a heater hose that attaches to the engine block on the right rear is swollen at the hose clamp..
