My vert has a blown out rear end, and the online FSM doesn't covert verts (I guess it was from '87 or something)

Does anyone have the missing vert pages from an '88FSM? or can show me a blown apart diagram of the rear vert suspension? It'd be mighty helpful. Thanks.

The vert pages are in all the 88 manuals.

But the vert also uses the same suspension (as far as the drawing and manual) as the coupes. So if you looked at the rear suspension section in the manual, it is the same for verts as coupes.

And all US spec verts are 88 or later models, regardless if they were made before the 88 calender year.

What all needs to be removed to get to the strut tops then? in terms of the interior trim? Is it the entire rocker panel all the way back on the inside to the strut itself?

I'm really most familiar with coups as I've had 3.

Blah, I found it, and as a bonus I found an 8 year old can of tuna fish under the rocker panel. I dunno what to do with it.

The suspension is identical to the other FC's. The rear strut towers are a bit harder to get to, but other than that.. :dunno:

The only online FC FSM's I know of are 88 and 89. Both cover all aspects of the 'vert, but only actually mention it when it's specific to the 'vert. Unless it says so, the info covers both coupe and 'vert.

I have/have had alot of rx7's, you should know, you've rebuilt the engine in 3 of them :)

This one actually runs fine so I won't need a rebuild, I'm just trying to get it passed inspection, then sell it.

Thanks for the info tho, I was trying to figure out how to get those rocker panels off without breaking them, but I got it just fine. I was initially thinking that the top of the strut was somehow different then a coupe.
