constant high pitch beep
 

While back like a month or so i removed my power steering , smog pump , and AC compressor and all it's lines, plugged all the valves and cleaned it up a little. I also removed my Audio system to sell it( just to let you know what i had tampered with) from the battery cable and got a new rack for the battery to sit on. I go to start the car up and it wouldnt start so i tighten back the intake tubing and it works presto. So now i notice a horrible high pitched beeping noise, so i added coolant thinking it was a coolant sensor. Still beeping i havent had internet access for a long while and i just now finally got it back . Ive been dealing with this beeping noise and now i cant stand it can anyone help me out?

The beep is constant. The beep sounds like it's coming from inside the dash.

i have the same problem. the oil warning light would go off and wont shut up unlss i shut it off and fill oil to the filler cap.

but it probably has something to do with the power steering speed sensor or something like that. heard that from somewhere but still dunt know how to dix that problem.

this was an issue in the other forum. can anybody clarify on this?

Maybe i should try oil, and my center warning cluster doesnt work unless a belt breaks(i should look in on buying a new one) hmmmm =/

what do you mean unless a belt breaks? Does your warning cluster light up at all? Its possible you may have a bad coolant level sensor or you may of accidently pulled the wire out of the sensor like i have on one occasion. Its located on top of the radiator. Check your oil levels to make sure you have enough oil. Also check your oil level sensor to make sure its fully plugged in. Its located on the drivers side of the oil pan towards the driver. Does your car smoke at all? if so how bad?

My cluster has never worked until i turn the ignition on , and all of them light up on the cluster. But recently my belt broke and ive never seen it come on before and all of the lights came on and i just saw that there was a broken belt to my alternator. Someone told me on another forum that it was my speed sensing steering control unit right under the steering column. I unplugged it and no more beep. It goes to the power steering im not sure what it does exactly but thanks everyone for the help.

you were right it the speed sensing steering control unit right under the steering column, its should be a gold box about 4"x5"x2". Just unplug it.

BEEPING is from the power steering computer. Didn't anyone of you get that he removed the power steering pump.

A BUZZER is different and from LOW OIL, LOW COOLANT, or TO HIGH RPM.

What Icemark was pointing out was that you forgot to remove your PS controller under your dash. Two screws and a plug, then no more beeeeeeeeeee...
