Considering a s4 N/A 13b Rebuild for first time

First of all im not looking for insane power so ill probably keep it N/A with a small Street port while I have the Keg open, I just picked up 88 Rx-7 with 111k original miles on the motor from a guy who let it sit out in the winter and now it blows a ton of white smoke im guessing a water seal some where on the inside cracked so I think im going to use this engine for a rebuild

I have the Atkins Rebuild Video, a Chilton and Haynes Manual so im pretty ready to do this

I was just wondering if any one had any tips before I tear down and start rebuilding? or problems I should look out for. and since I live so close to Atkins Rotary I think im going to get my rebuild kit through them

I have rebuilt plenty of 4 cylinder Honda's but this will be my first attempt on a rotary so all you guru's who have some insight please let me know

Good luck man! If you have rebuilt piston engines before, this engine will be a complete walk in the park for you..... it's so freaking simple. I'll be rebuilding my first (doing it myself) one as soon as my motor goes (still running strong, thank god..) But on my old t2 I helped rebuild it just to learn; the only major pain seemed to be getting all the seal springs in and keeping the seals in their place while you re-assemble everything... I know this doesnt help you much, jsut some words of encouragement...

Rebuilding a rotary isnt to hard at all. What it comes down to is the finer details and specs of everything. Label everything that you take apart and take your time. - Nick
