Conquest intercoolers?
I have been looking into fmic's and the conquest ones look pretty decent. The core is 16.5"x 8"x 2.75". One of the endtanks exits out the top but could either be cut or used in the way it is possibly. I am wondering how this compares to the stock one and to an NPR. Also how much better is say a GReddy? Thanks.

Conquest/Starion Intercoolers are better than stock. Theyre not the best flowing intercoolers out there but for the price I guess you cant go wrong. Dont buy them online. If you can go to the junkyard and look for them. I bought one a while back for $22 dollars at the junkyard. I never used it, the turboII I was going to buy was sold right when I was about to buy it, and I sold the IC on ebay for $225. Nice profit if you as me :D
Do a search for "Starion Intercooler" and youll get lots of info on them. Theres even a thread comparing the starion, npr, and volvo intercoolers. |

its not a great intercooler by any means. the only benifit i can see of it is that it gets the intercooler off the top of the engine and out in the front end. its a good upgrade but not something to make big power with.

I have one(starion), and it is deff better than stock, I also had a NPR, and the lag, and lost reponse sucked. If you got the $ get a Spearco though. In the long run I dont think youll be content with the starion unit. I want better.

YOur best bet is the smaller version NPR ic. The bigger one is way too big.
