confused injectors

hey all

ok im packaging my injectors to be sent off to cruzinperformance, and i was looking on the injector and the two part numbers are the same so i was like...wait somethings wrong they need to be different, and they should be, right? like lower impedence or something?

so could someone clarify this for me what type of injectors are on an 88 se non turbo?

so both injectors are the EXACT same on NA injectors? same Flow for all four?

and i just checked resistance thier all @13 ohm

WAYNE88N/A 08-28-04 10:13 PM

Yes, all the same (460cc), 13 ohms each is good. If you want to check them further put 12 volts DC on the pins (one pos, one neg) momentarily and listen for the solenoid clicking...

Those are for the 88's, don't know about the S5's...

capn 08-28-04 11:06 PM

we'll just say its for S4s...for now

WAYNE88N/A 08-28-04 11:18 PM

No, the pre 87 1/2 S4's have low impedance (2-3 ohm) injectors...

No, the 87.5 and 88 (and up).

HAILERS 08-29-04 10:33 AM

1987 chassis number 550168 and older na's use low resistance injectors of approx 3.3 ohms and any na past that chassis use ....high resistance injectors.

WAYNE88N/A 08-29-04 10:36 AM

The S5 connectors are different, aren't they? Than the S4 hi-imp, I mean...

I didn't go to the trouble of making this page because it was good for my health...

I didn't write 3.3 ohms. I wrote 2.2 ohms. The moderator probably sabotaged my post. And the dog ate my tax return.

WAYNE88N/A 08-29-04 02:48 PM

Lol, sorry Kevin, I knew your writeup was there, if that makes you feel any better :)

That's all right, Hailers, you're still one of my heroes. Sorry, I don't know any tax attorneys, or I'd help you out...
