CONFUSED!!! Boost sensor/searching/more wires then normal, what!

I have searched. Results not satisfying.

I have an 87 sport. The car dies after it warms up. Idle jumps from say 700 to 300 then back to 700 then after a few seconds it will die.

My Ecu says that its the Pressure sensor gone bad. The bad idle could be caused by the TPS. In any case, there is 5 wires coming from my boost sensor. A black and white one, 2 brown and blacks. (both connected to one part of the socket) 1 brown and white and 1 brown and red. The brown and black wires i think are the grounds. But why are there 2? In all other cases its only been 1.

which one do i ground?

Could it be that there are 2 grounds because one goes to the ECU and another to another grounding point? I dont know much about wiring but that would be my guess.

Yeah, Thats what i thought...

But i need to know which one to ground...

Maybe i could just add ground?

I am pretty sure brown/black are the grounding wires.

Both brown and black wires are ground wires. Ground either one. It sounds like someone (dealer) had already regrounded the sensor. There was a early bulletin out on grounding the sensor. As in factory bulletin. I'd assume that is why you have two brown black coming out of the same socket. They are both coming out of the same socket. Right? Yes.

Yeah, they are. I'll try grounding either one.

Thanks for clearing that up.
