Compression Testing

I am going to be picking up my car this weekend and i have been searching for things that i should look at/check over when looking the car over.

Now when it comes to compression testing let me see if i have this right.

1. Let the engine warm to normal operating temperatures.
2. Let cool for approx 10 mins
3. Remove both trailing plugs
4. Remove EGI(or whatever its called) Fuse
5. Start cranking and floor the gas.

I believe that is all i need to do, I will probably be using a normal compression tester, so it SHOULD HOPEFULLY read above 85psi, Correct? Now do i need to push the pressure release button after every pulse or just leave it? LMK Thanks!

Hold the pressure release until you get your 3 bounces. Don't do like me and take the check valve out, you won't get any pulses. Everything else looks pretty good. Don't burn your hands.

So when the enbine is turning over hold the relase valve? Is that so it jumps to show compression then falls back to zero?

Yeah, Hold the release in so it doesn't keep building pressure. You need to see each rotor side to see the PSI on each.

I've heard 85 and under be aware and get saving.
90 and up is good territory.
120 I heard is factory showroom spec.
