Compression Question
Hi all,
I have the chance to buy a 1986 rotory engine, the engine is out of the car, and has been in storage, my question to everyone here is are there any tricks i can do to makesure that it is still running? the guy assures me there is still compression in the engine, how would i figure that out? and help or advice is much appreciated, thanks. -Hutch- |
Compression is the main test of a rotary engine.
If the engine has a problem, it will show low or uneven compression. To check compression, you have to spin the flywheel at least 200 RPM. That takes a bell housing, a starter, a battery & jumper cables. |
