Well, here where I live it got really cold......REALLY cold, -58.4 degrees celsius with the windchill, but anyways, I've modded my 7 to accomodate for winter conditions as I do alot of snow drifting, but the recent cold spell has pretty much killled my chances of starting her up for a while....lol It's back down to < -10 now perfect for some drifting but I need to warm her up still. The reason I'm starting this thread is to maybe help some people stuck in a similar situation (Ddrivers stuck inda cold), I bought a Coolent heater/cycler and installed today. I'll post on the results in a few hours, it's cheap easy to install, so you can't go wrong!!!! Just hope it works  Anyone have any questions, comments, or yelling at me (:egrin:) Please go right ahead hehehe I'll post some pic's too and how I installed it just incase you are wondering or wanna try....

Here's some pics of the installation, please do not mind the engine bay, doing a VERY thorough cleaning this spring. Also will clean up the hoses but I just want to get this thing started...

So it's in series with the heater core? I'm pretty sure that coolant to the core is valve controlled and only active when the heating system is actually turned on. Though I could be mistaken...maybe the valve simply stays at the last selected position when the car is shut off.

I like it though. Brand name?

Zerostart its the 8000 series I believe. I'm not too sure about that valve situation but it worked and got my engine going again. But it restricted the flow of the coolent when it was on (Check valve in the heater), and now I have an overheated engine, so I reconnected the old hoses and took out the heater, but Now I believe there's an air pocket in my coolent lol All in all this got my baby runnin, but now has caused an even bigger pain in the ass. Gotta love Sevens.
