Code 26; does it give limp mode or not? The only engine code that is showing

Every time I drive my car my check engine light will come on.
It goes on and off randomly.
The engine code that is pulled when it does this is code 26.
According to all the ecu code sites I have found, code 26 doesn't have a fail-safe mode.
So the ecu isn't in limp mode from the code 26...... at least according to all the websites I have found.
However, whenever I drive the car sometimes it won't let me rev it past 4,000-6,000rpm.
It is different every time.
I can free rev it in neutral.
The revving problem doesn't change with how much throttle I give it.
Also it accelerates pretty quick for a n/a s5 in really low rpm, but then as the rpm increases the car just gets really sluggish and doesn't want to go anywhere.

-I'm premixing my gas and have the OMP blocked off-

I'm getting ready to order a new fuel pump filter and fuel filter; the filter on the fuel pump doesn't look very bad.
Also it isn't always running like this; every now and then it will let me rev it fine....
I'm mostly wondering if the code 26 does cause limp mode... even though none of the websites list it as causing limp mode and I can't find any threads on the forum concerning JUST CODE 26.

OMP stepping motor will give you LIMP mode. That's what a 26 is in the book. It should recover if you turn the key OFF and back on. But then after a while the limp will return. I do not own a series five and this is what I've learned on this forum from reading the theads.

Seems top me you should have gotten a 27 to go along with the 26.

My guess if that anything to do with a OMP failure would make it go into the limp mode.

See the section D of the FSM for trouble shooting the stepper motor.
