Clutch-Stock vs Performance
Hey guys im currently looking @ an 86 N/A that is listed in the for sale/for trade section here on the forums. The car has a rebuilt engine with 4k miles on it. I was wondering how will a stock clutch affect performance on an RX7 that has only 10 extra horses (personal guess) over stock that is currently using a performance clutch? Cause the performance clutch is currently on its way out....any help would be appreciated!

A performance clutch would make a difference even if the car was stock. A stock clutch will slip more on the high end of your RPM range than a performance clutch - and also remember, it's much better for double clutching than a stock clutch. Money wise for a stock car? Stick with stock if you're staying stock is my opinion. If you're going all out then get an ACT. :)
Hey, where in Pasadena are you? When you get your FC let me know so we can take a ride down the 110. I'm in South Pas off of Fair Oaks and Oxley. |

Centerforce Dual friction hasn't let me down yet. and my friend has it on his 99-Z-28 with gobs of torque. So far no complaints and a fair price and clutch pedal feel.

For a realivitly unmodded car a Centerforce would be fine but otherwise I think there junk, and would get an ACT.
