Clutch sticks to the floor
:wallbash: just like it says my clutch pedel sticks to the floor when i put it in gear. It comes back up after a bit. I think i rounded it down to the clutch master or the slave or both. tell me what you guys think.
sorry if i misspelled. |
check your clutch fluid and bleed it, but its probably a dead master or slave.
When one goes out the other is not far away so replace both now. Get OEM units or you will be doing it again in a year or so. This is also the time to get a new connecting hose, you can get a stainless steel one from corksport for maybe $20. |
Farberio is Right.Even if you replace on Piece of Hydraulic component(say the slave) then another one is apt to go Down the line. This is because you are Introducing a NEW part that can apply more pressure than the old part Could.,Result:failure of the Other part or parts.
The best solution is just Go and replace everything. The local parts Store can get you a clutch master and slave for roughly 120USD(tops).and I believe that Robert (FC3S91on forum) still sells the braided hoses. He is a Good seller. |
thanks guys for the input I guess I have to order stuff well looks like im not going to the car show this weeked =P

as long as the fluid is not leaking out, you should be able to pump the clutch and build enough pressure to drive around. Eventually it will totally give out but if you just go to and from the car show you will be fine.

If you're not losing fluid it's the master for sure.
