Clutch sticking to floor... once or twice
 

i've notice this about 2 or 3 times already. once when i started the car up in the morning the clutch was stuck on the floor and the other was after the car at normal operating temp. mmm any ideas ? air in the clutch line ? not enough fuild ? or just old expanded slave clutch lines?

Your master cylinder or slave cylinder could be going out. It happened to be a few weeks ago. Might wanna check that out.

could also be caused by water that has contaminated the fluid in the clutch hydraulics.try flushing it while checking for leaks.

The most likely answer is a dying master cylinder.

I had that happen a few weeks ago, in my case it was the slave, so it can be either. It's getting stuck to the floor because of the assisting spring found next to the pivot on the pedal--it's holding your clutch on the floor with no pressure to push it back up.

had the same problem, replaced the slave and master and it was solved

+1 for master cylinder. I believe they are all the same so you can take one from a junkyard if it is in working condition, or rebuild yours with a kit.

The only problem I had was a stupid little rubber gasket that wouldn't stay still, had a friend hold it in place for me.

recommend to replace both the slave and master cylinder...

+1 for the mc and sc. they both when out on me with in a week time frame just my luck

while your at it check the clutchline for cracks I had the same exact sympotoms a year ago
I replaced mine with a Corksport SS braided line and it was fine for about 6 months (a very easy install and looks nice - hint: remove you oil filter first, makes life easy)
Then the master cylinder completely died.
So really just replace everything at once and then you won't have to worry about it for about another decade or so.
