Clutch sensor

My car wouldn't crank over. After messin with my clutch with the key to "start" I realize my clutch sensor is no good cause it cranks over while messing with it. The question is: can I just remove the sensor and jumper the clip for it? Or just remove? It's really annoying, so short of trial and error I'd like to know if anyone else knows what to really do instead of replacing it. I really don't care about the clutch being pressed in to start the car...

yay i get to answer a question!

well i had the same issue (kinda still do cuz of my sticky starter problem but im working on it) i think its called the clutch inter lock switch? take a look under your dash where the clutch pedal is. you will see a "do hicky" that has a button "switch" type on it. there is a plug that connects to it. and if you unplug it you can jumper it. i would recommend you replace the clutch switch though if thats what your issue is. its there for a reason.

+1 to rotary buenta. It's so you avoid starting the car with the start lurching the vehicle forward since you're still in gear.

Yea I seen the "do hicky" haha! I figured I could just jumper it. I know replacing it would be best but I'm very anal about always parking my car in neutral and checking it before I start it so I'm not really concerned with it being there. And it's hard as heck to find parts in my area

Yea I know what it's there for I just really don't need it there... I'm tired of holding the key to "start" and mashing on the clutch to get it to kinda crank over.

jump it then, i put a remote start in my car and i did it to where it would try to start in gear because im lazy(i know the proper way, i do them for a living) and also im THE ONLY ONE that drives my car so i know its not in gear when i park it.
