clutch question

Hey, what's the weight of the stock flywheel on an 88 NA? And as far as lighter flywheels go, are there more than just a couple different weights? I've seen some posts about 10lb and 12lb flywheels....

I'm considering getting a lighter flywheel when I get my clutch replaced, but I'm worried about how much more stalling I'm going to be doing (still really new to manuals and soooo many intersections that I stop at are _not_ flat) :( Just wondering if there's something out there somewhat lighter, but not so light that I'm going to be stalling a heck of a lot more.

Thanks,
Kevin

They are about 27lbs. If you aren't that good at working the clutch, then I would wait until you are before upgrading that.

The weight of a stock flywheel on an 88 N/A is 24 lbs according to the RB catalog.

RB sells two versions of lighter flywheels. A lightened steel flywheel that weighs 17 lbs and an aluminum flywheel that weighs 12 lbs. The steel one can be used for the street, but they only reccomend the aluminum one for race applications.

Hope this helps.
