Clutch pedal sank to the floor and now there is no more go..
 

So the rx7 pulled an rx7. Didnt drive it for a few days , the weather got nicer so I decided to take it for a spin.

I'm still kind of breaking it in , so the car hasnt seen anything past like 4.5k . Anyway first it started being weird , as in grabbing retarted and it kinda seemed to grab low to the floor but it still drove so I just kept driving. Get to an intersection , light turns green , put it into first , nope , pedal to the floor.

I'm like fuck , it has a brand new reman clutch slave , new stainless steel line , brand new clutch , plenty of fluid , recently bled 2 weeks or so ago. No drips or anything.

I spoke with a friend and he thinks it might be the clutch master . Anyone else have any ideas?

Oh and just pumping the clutch didnt build any pressure behind it , it went to the floor all the time.

well, if you replaced every other part of the clutch's hydraulic system EXCEPT the master cyl...it really does only leave it as the culprit now doesn't it :)

Get another one.

it could be the clutch hydralic hose, the soft rubber one. Mine was cracked and leaked but i didnt notice it until a drive home at 3 in the morning when my clutch was getting soft.

He has a new stainless slave hose line which replaces the rubber one....

i think you said you switched out your slave cylinder it is probably the master cylinder easy to swap out or sometime there is some rust. even if you swap it make sure th sleeve is clean of rust and debree......

Yeah I figure it has to be the clutch master. As far as I understand the whole clutch system works like this.

Clutch Slave > Line to the hard line > hard line to master slave

So everything is new minus the master , the hardlines arent leaking or I dont see how they could be since the fluid in the bottle is still at max or maybe something got clogged and its not taking any fluid in.

Regardless I'm going to the junkyard tomorrow to get another one or I'll just plop down 60 bucks for a new one from Auto Zone with warrantee.
