clutch interlock switch
 
i have a 90 turbo ll ,my car wont start the tip of the clutch interlock switch broke off about a week ago i just disconnected and vech started (i didnt jump the switch with a wire)but now the vech will not start ,i only hear solenoids clickinh around the sunroof ,dome lite area ,........the factory alarm doesnt seem to be working as when i lock the car it doesnt beep like it use too....nor does the lite in the center console lite up ......
my first question is does the clutch interlock switch pass current or ground to the starter ......wher can i disconnect the alarm to bypass (fuse ?)there is a silver box near the pass speaker but it controls the seatbelts .........im gonna check my starter ....but maybe you guys can give me some help while i check out the starter

I hate to say it, but I flat forgot how I did it. Its been a couple of years. I thought I just took the wires off the sw and connected them together. I'll look tonite when off work. About six or seven. Just remembered that it just got my goat one day, all that climbing in and out of the car, so I just ripped away at it and made it work . Bump. I just pulled the fsm up on the internet and it shows just two wires, a black and red and a black and green. It appears you should be able to just skip the switch and connect them to each other to make it work. Just re-read your post.Memory is coming back. I remember that tip breaking and just pulling both wires off and connecting them together. Should work.

This is so weird, I've just gone through this nightmare. Check my non-starting thread for some really good advice.
In my case, all that clicking was the starter, really the magnetic solenoid as the starter worked when tested and I was getting power down to it when the ignition key was put to start. There is a black and white stripe wire going down to the starter. That should show current when you turn the key. If not, bad solenoids, ask me how I know that. There is a relay that cuts starter power on your driver fender and its tied to the clutch switch as well. If you have power at the starter, check the S terminal on the solenoid at the same time grounding the probe from the multimeter. If you read less than 8v, its wiring, more than 8v its the starter, according to the FSM.
I ended up putting in a new starter after tearing into all the wiring including the ignition switch. Read the thread and follow ons. They are extremely informative.
Frustraitng to say the least.
